Like a walk through the country side living on a small farm is full of daily surprises, sometimes wonderful and amazing, and other times puzzling and sad. I hope you will walk with me as I live out my dream of living on this tiny farm. You will come to know the dogs, cats, Shetland sheep and chickens that make up this farm and what goes into keeping them happy and healthy. Come and join the journey with me.

Coming Home

Out for a drive one day, I snapped a few pictures........

........back before the trees started to change

I seem to be obsessed with hay.
When I turn in the driveway, the first thing I do is glance up to the yard to see the dogs. Sometimes they bark, but sometimes they don't. If they know it's me, they will bark for sure. This is what I see when I pull up to the yard. My very own fan club/welcoming committee. (She's here! She's here!!) Every time.

It doesn't matter if I've been gone ten minutes or ten hours. Humans could take lessons.

How can that not make your heart happy?

My friend just found out her Dogue Anakin has OCD in both shoulders, and is pretty upset. He will likely have surgery....

Great pictures! You are so right about people taking lessons from animals, wouldn't it be great if everyone's spouse greeted them happily every single time they walked through the door like their dog does?

My dogs can always make me smile no matter how bad a day I've had. People could DEFINITELY take a lesson from dogs (actually many lessons) :)

It sure is nice how much our dogs are always happy to see us...plus everything is soooo exciting when you are a dog, it's hard not to laugh at their silliness.
