Like a walk through the country side living on a small farm is full of daily surprises, sometimes wonderful and amazing, and other times puzzling and sad. I hope you will walk with me as I live out my dream of living on this tiny farm. You will come to know the dogs, cats, Shetland sheep and chickens that make up this farm and what goes into keeping them happy and healthy. Come and join the journey with me.

Thinking of Selling the Sheep.......

.....and starting a frog farm instead...

Look who came back to the Toad Spa! Mr/Mrs/Ms Toad!

Looks like one of those cases where the whole extended family moved in....(there are six in case you tried to count them--one is sorta hidden under the rock.

Oh my...getting a little crowded in there? Need a bigger spa? How about a job?

Oh and just kidding on the selling the sheep thing.......

COOL!!!! We had a big toad that lives next to the water hydrant in the barn one summer during a drought. I LOVED him and was so sad when he (or she) moved out after it rained.

Yeah, but can you shear them?

That's just way too cool! Yeppers, looks like Ma, Pa, and the extended family found them a new cement pond...sort of? Ha.

Tammy those pics are great! How wonderful to have a family of frogs right there.
You had me catch my breath when I read the title about selling your sheep! Glad to hear you aren't.

Louise! ;-)
Michelle--I hope so too. It's been kind of a fun experience. I'm guessing because it's been so hot and dry is why they migrated to the water bowls.
Sara--I love the big toads too. There is the huge one in the picture and I've seen a couple of littler ones around too.
AJ--not really planning to sell the sheepies but am taking a year off from breeding/lambing, to catch my breath (yeah, right).
