Like a walk through the country side living on a small farm is full of daily surprises, sometimes wonderful and amazing, and other times puzzling and sad. I hope you will walk with me as I live out my dream of living on this tiny farm. You will come to know the dogs, cats, Shetland sheep and chickens that make up this farm and what goes into keeping them happy and healthy. Come and join the journey with me.

Merry Christmas!

Minty says Merry Collie Christmas!
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!   I had stories to tell and pictures to post, but time ran away from me.   So here are a few pictures of our ice storm---which thankfully didn't cause much damage and no power outages and was outstandingly beautiful.  The trees were quite festive for the Christmas season and with the cold temperatures the ice has stuck around.

If you'd like to read a couple of cute stories you can go to my sister's blog, Ruralhood and see a picture of me in my go-go boots and short short dress!   She has posted a couple of childhood stories, and I'm the little sister in the first one.  You decide--was it Santa or the Frisky the Cat?

Have a great day!

Best wishes for a very Happy New Year from the Pacific NW! Glad you didn't have damage from the ice storm. Looks like we have about the same weather to usher in the New Year - low 40's and cloudy. Take care! XOX T.

Wow, has it been that long since I read all my friend's blogs? I don't know about you but I'm ready for some warmer temperatures. The snow can stay as long as it gets above freezing and the pups can play in it.

are you going to send a pic to drop cam? I was asked to also, seems like they want us to buy one of their cams.
Your pics are so beautiful with the ice drops.
My mom`s cat,Mittens, the vets have decided that she has OCD & she is on a pill for that.It helps, but gosh,it is hard to give her the pill!!
My husband is not any better & I am giving him 4 shots of insulin a day.
I hooked up with a girl who found me several show collies that are available to a home, not sure it is the best time, but I am going to see about them.Thank you for praying & being my friend, phyllis

I`m surprised how much my collie ,Mia,that I just got looks like your Minty.Mine does not have such a full coat though.
Mia`s nose was too long at the top for the judge,so I bought her from the breeder for a small adoption fee.Simon finished with his points, but at 7,he is sterile, she gave him to me for free.I love them soooo much. I`m in collie heaven now...Phyllis
