Like a walk through the country side living on a small farm is full of daily surprises, sometimes wonderful and amazing, and other times puzzling and sad. I hope you will walk with me as I live out my dream of living on this tiny farm. You will come to know the dogs, cats, Shetland sheep and chickens that make up this farm and what goes into keeping them happy and healthy. Come and join the journey with me.

Week Six--Collie Puppies

Blue Eyed Sable Merle -- Ashley Junior

Week six the fun really started. The puppies personalities started emerging big time, as well as their voices. Those lovely (read shrill) collie voices!

Short walks in front of the house were introduced, to the delight of all. It didn't take long to figure out a tired puppy is a good puppy! The girls learned what 'going outside' meant and we all made a mad dash to the front door when I opened their puppy pen, each morning. Ninety nine percent of the time we made it fine, without any 'accidents'.

They also began to understand what 'back' meant--an important word to keep them safe around doors and gates.

This was the week too, that they became very independent, and would explore the outer reaches of the yard by themselves.

Hopefully one more post and I'll be caught up with pictures and what the puppies are up to these days! There have been several big changes and adventures!

SO adorable! I love little Tri's cowlick. LOL at the voices comment. I can only imagine that many puppies at 6 weeks old, must be quite the adventure :)
