Like a walk through the country side living on a small farm is full of daily surprises, sometimes wonderful and amazing, and other times puzzling and sad. I hope you will walk with me as I live out my dream of living on this tiny farm. You will come to know the dogs, cats, Shetland sheep and chickens that make up this farm and what goes into keeping them happy and healthy. Come and join the journey with me.

National Hug A Sheep Day!

Today is Hug A Sheep Day! In honor of this special day, here are a few sheep who might enjoy a hug in case you don't have any of your own.

Duckie would definitely enjoy a good hug and a scratch on those itchy spots.

Ranger was born to hug!

Gracie loves hugs and scratches and cookies--not necessarily in that order.

Luna says you might hug her, if you can catch her!

Enjoy your HAS day!!

It's such a great idea. I wish I could hug one of your sheep. Here is a virtual hug and a big slobbery kiss for Boone.

Happy Hug A Sheep Day To You! Found you as I was farm blog searching. I just acquired my first two sheep and they are shetlands. They are so wonderful and we are loving them. I got them from Nancy. K. So glad to find your farm blog. Your sheep look very huggable!

I would love to hug a sheep, I've never had the opportunity.

The gym is about a mile from work and about 3 miles from home. At the moment, I'm really in to to going, hope the feeling lasts. I've only been going for a week, and I'm in poor shape, but I already feel happier, stronger, and more energentic. Cramming the time in to an already overloaded schedule is the hard part.

I guess I will have to give everyone two hugs since I missed Hug-A-Sheep Day. But then, if I hug them every day (which I usually do) does that count?

Maybe I should have called it Hug a Sheep AND a Boone day?? He loves hugs by the way. Thanks for stopping in Amy. You will love your little sheep and Nancy has some of the best.
