Ham Hocks = Happy Dogs

Ariel munches her ham hock, keeping an eye out for thieves

The dogs appreciated their ham hock treats on this grey misty day. They don't get them very often, every few months or so, so they really enjoy them--even Ariel who snubs most chew treats these days.

Boone enjoys his, using their bed as a table.

Getting down to the nitty gritty, of serious bone chewing

If I give my dogs bones within eyesight of each other, Sadie always takes them both!

Poor Bella....

I heart Boone :).

My dog Dixie would like to tell your dogs that the best place to hide the bones is the manure pile! Cute post Tammy!!

Isn't it neat to give dogs extra special treats from time to time ... they do appreciate it SO much.

How is Ariel doing? Guess Boone's pads are well healed by now.

My, Boone is looking quite, um, substantial these days! My word verification is "reboc;" is that a hint that Boone needs more gym time? :-)

I know what you mean, Nancy. In her younger days Ariel would have stolen them all. I try and keep an eye on them, because she is so fragile now, and I don't want Boone being assertive to accidentally hurt her. Pat, they do love the special treats and it makes me smile to see their enjoyment. Michelle, I've taken pictures to prove that Boone isn't as huge as he appears on camera.
;-) He still has his waistline. ha.
