Like a walk through the country side living on a small farm is full of daily surprises, sometimes wonderful and amazing, and other times puzzling and sad. I hope you will walk with me as I live out my dream of living on this tiny farm. You will come to know the dogs, cats, Shetland sheep and chickens that make up this farm and what goes into keeping them happy and healthy. Come and join the journey with me.

Finale

It's over. Thankfully. OVER. For another year. Let's just say it's been a busy week and I've not regained my sheepie composure yet.

On that note I'll leave you with a few photos and hopefully lots of catch up posts in the next few days. I'm off to bed, for what I hope is a good nights sleep and no barn checks....

Nope ~ all that flash is a boy. I can see a horn bud...

The black beauty in with him may be a girl though...

Oh, Tammy, I know JUST how you feel. Lambing and shearing both?

Get some rest girl and then go sit with those babies and enjoy! You've earned it!

Woo Hoo! Congrats on shearing being over for this year! It was a beautiful day for it too.

OH MY GOODNESS! I SEE SPOTS TOO! ~if it is a ram lamb...and he would happen to ever be for sale...I call first dibbs :-)

You deserve an award, Tammy. All that - both lambing AND shearing? I thought I was the only glutton for punishment around. heeheehee
You deserve some sort of "spa day" to pamper YOU!
Why is it that we'll complain about all we do around our places, but never trade any of it (or most of it) for all the "tea in China" as they used to say. Somedays I feel like Brer Rabbit - "Oh, please, Brer Bear. Don't throw ME in that briar patch!" :)

I, having never really dealt with shearing before, couldn't believe what a relief it was to get it over with. Can't wait to see more posts about your lambs!

Beautiful spots, relief sets in, my ram isn't dysfunctional after all!

LOL!

I know how tired you are, I have to start in again, time for kidding!

Hi Jama, He will likely be for-sale, but I haven't made the final decisions yet. He is a sweety.
Kathy, Spa day sounds wonderful! It was a crazy week, and about did me in, but when it was done, it was ALL done! ha..
