Like a walk through the country side living on a small farm is full of daily surprises, sometimes wonderful and amazing, and other times puzzling and sad. I hope you will walk with me as I live out my dream of living on this tiny farm. You will come to know the dogs, cats, Shetland sheep and chickens that make up this farm and what goes into keeping them happy and healthy. Come and join the journey with me.

Flocks in the Meadow

The grasslands of the desert overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness. The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing. Psalm 65:12-13

Yes, great photo, and text. It's so GREEN there! I heard on the news that we are at 42% of average rainfall for the month of July, and we haven't been at or above average since March. Things are looking pretty toasty here, except what gets watered.

Thanks guys. This is the good side of farm life. My favorite times are when I can turn the flock out onto green pastures. All the moisture in the air this summer has really made for some nice photo ops. I was aiming directly into the sun, and these 'rainbows' just showed up in the picture.
